Short answer, yes. Long answer, it depends! There are lots of variables that impact the pain a person feels while getting a tattoo – from their own pain threshold to the placement of the tattoo and even the artist’s techniques. Lulu prides herself in making the experience as comfortable as possible for her clients.
We recommend getting a good night's sleep and eating a meal before your session. Make sure to stay hydrated and avoid alcohol or blood-thinning medications 24 hours before your appointment. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed.
The cost of a tattoo varies depending on the size, complexity, and placement of the design. During your consultation, you will be provided with a quote based on your specific request.
An open mind and lots of ideas and references for your vision!
Keep placement in mind! If the tattoo will be in an intimate area, make sure to wear or bring clothing with zippers or ties that can be adjusted to your liking. Black clothing is ideal in case some ink gets on!
Bring snacks and plenty of water, possibly some painkillers or anti-inflammatory medications for afterward.
A pillow and blanket are great comfort items, as well as headphones and some form of entertainment (or distraction).
Pain tolerance varies from person to person, but most people describe the sensation as mild to moderate discomfort. I am experienced in making the process as comfortable as possible and will take breaks if necessary.
After your session, I will give you detailed aftercare instructions. Generally, you will need to keep the area clean, moisturized, and protected from the sun. Avoid submerging the tattoo in water (such as pools or bathtubs) until it is completely healed.
Absolutely! We love working with custom designs. Bring your ideas or sketches, and our artists will collaborate with you to create a tattoo that perfectly matches your vision.
Initial healing typically takes about 2-3 weeks, but it can take up to a month or longer for a tattoo to fully settle into the skin. Proper aftercare is essential to ensure the best healing process.
Your safety is our top priority. We follow strict hygiene protocols, including using single-use needles and sterilized equipment for every session. Our studio is fully licensed and meets all local health and safety regulations.
If you have any medical conditions, please consult with your doctor before getting a tattoo. Let us know in advance if you have any concerns so we can take the necessary precautions.
We love our customers, so please feel free to visit us during normal business hours. Always by appointment.
